With more than half a million units sold from the two compact MPVs, Citroën presents in Europe with Rip Curl a special edition of the C4 Picasso and Grand C4 Picasso. As it was predicted, this week the French manufacturer presented the new Citroën C5 Aircross to the European market, a new crossover that arrives practically without differences compared to the model that a year ago debuted in the Salon of Shanghai and that already is on sale in the China.The Citroën C5 Aircross is the new bet of the French brand for the segment of compact crossovers that every day adds new participants, which will go on sale in the markets of the old continent from the end of the year.This new model was developed on the EMP2 modular platform that gives rise to numerous models of the PSA Group, such as the Peugeot 3008, 5008 and Opel Grandland X, a modern architecture that allowed to achieve an excellent interior space.The C5 Aircross measures 4.5 meters in length and has a wheelbase of 2.73 meters which guarantees excellent space in the three rear seats, with a luggage compartment of 580 liters, which can expand its capacity up to 720 liters by advancing the rear seats or reach the 1,630 liters when rebounding the rear seats.In terms of aesthetics, this new crossover from Citroën presents itself with an aspect that follows the current design philosophy of the French brand, with a front part that highlights its front headlights divided into two sections and a side where the side plastic protections appear, the Airbumps, which popularized the C4 Cactus and were gradually expanded to the rest of the Citroën line.The new C5 Aircross also debuts a progressive hydraulic suspension that replaces conventional dampers and springs with two hydraulic elements that guarantee a unique driving comfort.
